MAHAVIR Group is established by Mr. Kishorechand Bansal in the year 1988. The organization started out as small rolling mill unit at Ahmedabad, Gujarat and then grown up in manifold and now has established itself as Gujarat's prominent business group. By side tracking the recent recession in the world, the group activities are expanding rapidly and steadily. Our group companies are ISO 9001:2008, 14001:2004, 30000:2009 & OHSAS 18001:2007 certified which itself shows our commitments towards Quality, Environment, Safety and Social responsibilities at a large.

We are one of the few dominant ship recyclers at Alang-Sosiya Ship Recycling Yard since 1994. Our group is having 3 (three) ship recycling plots at Asia's largest ship recycling yard i. e. Sosiya ship recycling yard, Bhavnagar, Gujarat, India. We have one rolling mill at Ahmedabad, Gujarat which is one of the largest in the region and one oxygen plant at Mamsa, Bhavnagar.

Our group turnover has exceeded

3 Billion with and having set a goal of crossing a turnover of

5 billion INR within next five years.

1988 : A Rolling Mill was established by Mr. Kishorechand Bansal at Ahmedabad in the name of M/s. Mahavir Rolling Mill, as a proprietary concern. Also, Mahavir Inductomelt Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated to carry the trading business of Iron & Steel.

1992 : The proprietary business of rolling mill was converted into Private Limited Company by incorporating the new company - Mahavir Rolling Mill Pvt. Ltd.

1994 : The founder of group ventured into new business of ship recycling at Alang Shipbreaking Yard,Bhavnagar. First Vessel MV NEOS of 3511 LDT was purchased & dismantled by Mahavir Indoctomelt Pvt. Ltd. at Plot No. 78, Alang Shipbreaking Yard, Bhavnagar.

1995 : To expanding the ship recycling business, a new firm M/s. G.K. Steel was launched by the management of the group at Plot No. 120 of Alang Shipbreaking Yard, Bhavnagar.

2002 : Mahavir Inductomelt Pvt. Ltd. has switch over the VLCC Plot No. V-5 at Sosiya Shiprecycling Yard. Now, the company become the holder of one of the top seven plots at Sosiya.

2003 : M/s. G.K. Steel has acquired a merged plots ie. Plot No. 119 & 120 at Sosiya Shipbreaking Yard, Bhavnagar

2004 : The next generation of the founder, Mr. Moulik Kishorechand Bansal has steped into the group by joining as a director of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd.

2004 : The business of M/s. G.K. Steel was taken over by our new group company- Puneet Industries Pvt. Ltd.

2006 : The turnover of Mahavir Rolling Mill Pvt.Ltd. has crossed the

5 Billion and the company has become the Deemed Public Limited.

2006 : To become the leader in Ship recycling industry, the new group company M.K. Shipping & Allied Industries Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated and acquired Plot No. 121 & 122 at Sosiya Shipbreaking Yard, Bhavnagar and plot no. 122 was merged into plot no. 121.

2009 : M.K. Air Products is established to cater the needs of oxygen gas of own ship recycling units and the turnover of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd. has crossed the

10 Billion INR.

Mr. Kishorechand Bansal

He is the chairman and key policy maker of Mahavir Group. He is the technocrat from Indian Institute of Technology.

With his able guidance and efficient managerial skills coupled with vast experience of more than 15 years in ship recycling and steel industry, the group has achieved the new milestones in terms of turnover, profit and performance. His rich experience and understanding of the industry dynamics is our key strength. This has enabled us to identify trends and invest in business at the opportune time to derive maximum benefit from opportunities and business cycles.

He is a managing director of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd., Director in Puneet Industries Pvt. Ltd. and key managerial person of the Mahavir Group.

Mr. Moulik Bansal

A 26 years old youngman with lot of enthusiasm and innovative approach joined the group in the year 2004. He is having a master degree in Management and Bachelor in Engineering, his dual education of commerce and science has helped the group in installing the modern technology with managerial efficiency.

He is an executive director of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd., Director in M.K. Shipping & Allied Industries Pvt. Ltd. and Proprietor of M.K. Air Product.

Mrs. Gulshan K Bansal

She manages all the day to day HR activities of group and also providing her assistance in day to day activities of the group companies.

She is an executive director of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd. and Director in Puneet Industries Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Rupinder Gupta

He is the close relative of the chairman of the group. He has vast experience, sound exposure and expertise in Ship Recycling Industry. He is associated with Mahavir Group since inception of ship breaking activities at Alang by us. He is presently managing the production activities at one of our three plots at Ship Recycling yard.

He is a director of Mahavir Rolling Mill Ltd. and Mahavir Inductomelt Pvt. Ltd.

The key policy of Mahavir group is to implement the such business practices that meets the requirements and needs of customers, employees and statutory authorities. The management of Mahavir group has formed the certain policies in the area of quality, safety, environment and occupational health. The main objectives behind formation of these policies are:

ENVIRONEMENT PROTECTION, OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY:

We at Mahavir group always committed to safeguard the occupational health & safety to minimize occupational risks of our employees, customers and people at our yards as well as in the nearby area.

As a member of the people of our earth, we are always committed to safeguard the environment of our earth. In this regard, Special care is taken for non-spillage of the oil into the ocean, bilge water, asbestos handling and other hazardous materials and wastage. All Environmental rules and regulations are strictly followed by us.

All practicable and necessary steps are taken to minimize the accident, injury and death at works including the procurement use of best available Personal Protection Equipments (PPEs ) i.e. Helmet, Mask, Hand Gloves, Safety Shoes, Goggles, Boiler suits, etc.). Regular training, education and awareness are providing to the workers to keep them upgraded in best interest of organization and industry.

Basic Fire fighting equipments are installed at site by our organization such as Fire Pump Set, Fire Bucket Stands, Fire extinguishers, Foam, etc. Also, the Fire Brigade of Gujarat Maritime Board is available for help round the clock in case of need.

HUMAN RESOURCE POLICY :

We at Mahavir Group considers our human resources as our most valuable assets of the organization. They are treated like the family members of the Mahavir Group. All possible facilities are provided to them such like rest room, first aid, drinking water, tea/coffee, lunch, pleasant working atmosphere, etc. Above all, we have provided the accommodation to our staff as well as labour force at Ahmedabad and Sosiya, Bhavnagar. Recently, our group has constructed the labour quarters at Sosiya, Bhavnagar which will provide accommodation to more than 100 workers.

Over riding all the ups and downs, adverse market conditions and recessionary trend, Mahavir group has shown excellent and growing performance every year with help of modern technologies, expert management and efficient manpower:
